Brickworks Limited (ASX:BKW) improves safety performance in 1H2022

Read more Thursday 24 March 2022 - Brickworks (ASX:BKW) Managing Director, Lindsay Partridge AM details the Company's commitment to safety and people. Mr Partridge says: "I am pleased to report that we continue to make steady progress in improving workplace safety. In Australia, there were no lost time injuries recorded across our workforce during the first half. A sustained decrease in injuries across Australian operations has been achieved over the past decade, through disciplined implementation of safety management systems and procedures, together with behavioural leadership and safety training programs. These initiatives are also being rolled out across our operations in North America where injury rates are significantly higher than Australia. In North America, there were 3 lost time injuries for the period. Although injury rates are higher in North America, it is encouraging to note that the rate of reportable injuries is decreasing, and this is an important lead indicator for safety outcomes." Brickworks Limited (ASX:BKW) achieves record earnings for 1H2022

Read more Thursday 24 March 2022 - Brickworks (ASX:BKW) Managing Director, Lindsay Partridge AM outlines half year results highlights including a record half-year statutory net profit after tax (NPAT) of $581 million. Mr Partridge says: “Brickworks is in a strong position, with a diversified portfolio of attractive assets. The increasing scale of our operations means we are on track to record over $1 billion in annual Group revenue, for the first time.” “Development activity within the Property Trust is continuing at an unprecedented scale. This includes the construction of new facilities to meet lease pre-commitments across our Estates in Sydney and Brisbane. Together with additional land for development at the existing Estates, and the potential for further sales of land into the Trust, a significant uplift in rental income and asset value is forecast over the coming years.” “Within Building Products Australia, the start of the second half has been impacted by severe wet weather and flooding along the east coast. This has resulted in reduced construction activity in key markets such as Sydney and Brisbane. However, underlying demand remains strong, and we are hopeful that all states will experience an elevated period of activity for the remainder of the second half. Once the current backlog of stimulus-induced housing work is completed, recent building approvals data suggests that a period of softer demand is likely.” “In North America, ongoing margin pressures are expected to persist in the second half. However, earnings will benefit from prior period plant rationalisation and upgrade works, our investment in sales and marketing initiatives and the additional contribution from the IBC and Capital Brick acquisitions.” “WHSP is expected to deliver a stable and growing stream of earnings and dividends over the long term.” To learn more please visit: https://investors.brickworks.com.au/investor-information/

OFX 2016 Financial Results

Read more Richard Kimber, CEO of OFX, talks about 2016 Financial Results. During the year, OFX saw net operating income pass the significant $100m milestone. Active clients grew by 6% to more than 150 million and annual turnover grew to $19.6 billion. OzForex recently became a single global brand – OFX. The benefits of this will be seen in marketing efficiencies and stronger brand recognition. In 2016, OFX also introduced the 24/7 international payments service. The reason it is unique is that global markets shut on a Sunday. When New York closes there is no liquidity around the world. So what we’ve done is we’ve worked out a way to manage our flows over the weekend and enable it for our clients. The team grew globally to more than 270 by year end and it’s expected that this growth will continue in 2017. OFX also added strength to its banking relationships during the year with the addition of two key global banking partners supporting growth, particularly in important markets in NZ, India and some Nordic countries. As the tech platform continues to evolve, OFX is focused on accelerating the pace of delivery and, to achieve that, will move its systems to a cloud-based environment using Amazon Web Services. OFX is well on its way to the goal of delivering $200m in revenue by 2019 and address the vast market opportunity in the international payments market.

You guys were so quiet we barely saw you during the service. I was impressed by your complete professionalism and caring nature.”
